Celeste Cuckoo, also known as Irma Cuckoo, is one of the Stepford Cuckoos, a quintuplet of telepathic mutants created from Emma Frost's stolen ova.
Originally part of the Weapon Plus program, specifically Weapon XIV, Celeste and her sisters were intended to be living weapons.
Celeste is distinguished from her sisters by her diamond form ability, inherited from Emma Frost. Unlike Emma, however, Celeste can only partially transform, typically manifesting diamond-hard skin and blades rather than full diamond form.
Initially, the Cuckoos shared a potent hive mind, allowing them to act as a single, immensely powerful telepath. Over time, they have gained more individual autonomy.
Celeste has often been associated with the X-Men, specifically as students at the Xavier Institute. She has exhibited a cold and detached personality, often displaying a pragmatic approach to difficult situations.
